Eye Exams

An eye exam is a comprehensive examination of the eyes and visual system, performed by an optometrist or ophthalmologist. The exam includes a series of tests to assess the health of the eyes, measure visual acuity, and evaluate the patient’s need for glasses or contact lenses.

The eye doctor will check the patient’s visual acuity, check for any signs of eye diseases or disorders, and assess the health of the retina, cornea, and other parts of the eye. They will also check for any eye muscle imbalance or misalignment, as well as measure the patient’s intraocular pressure (IOP) to check for glaucoma. The eye doctor will also review the patient’s medical history and discuss any symptoms or concerns the patient may have. The exam is designed to detect any vision problems early on and provide appropriate treatment to prevent any future vision loss.
